I think it's a little hard to identify a fig as "yourself" as a Space Marine with such little detail. I think the idea of modeling yourself as a fig would work a little better if the fig showed some more detail. You know, more than just a flat-top and your skin tone. Maybe an Imperial Guardsman of some kind would reflect your personal appearance a little bit more clearly, if you are really determined to see such a project through.

The USMC is long gone by the 41st millennium. The IG are the ones who come in on large boats, I'd say they're a closer analog to the US marines. The SM are more closely related to a cruise missile.

Ha, and even though there aren't many details it does look just like you, flat top and ten feet tall, sounds about right

Flat and lacking in detail... is this really how you want to portray yourself?

Thanks to all for your comments on the artwork. Even the criticisim. Were I a more expericenced painter I am sure that the quality would be of a higher caliber.

Since I am not however, I don't care. Painting is a hobby not my livelyhood as I am sure it is for most of us. There are always better painters, artists, writters etc. The point is being better at one thing that others are not does not make you a better person.

Oh one last thing.....IN COMBAT NO ONES GIVES A %$#@ HOW WELL YOU CAN PAINT!
