Hey so i am trying to work on a 2k Skaven list i am having some trouble coming up with lists, but i know i want a Screaming bell! can anyone help me, Model range does not matter as i am planning on purchasing new models anyway so please please please post away!

Fitting a screaming bell into 2000pts isn't an easy task. 440pts minimum out of your list to fit the grey seer and the bell with no gear at all as well as that you really do need a 30 man unit of stormvermin or 40+unit of clanrats ideally pushing it so you don't just lose the points.
Then theres the fact it'l become a good target for cannons etc as the misscast from forcing the bell to ring can be extremely painful if its in the middle of your army.
General rule of thumb is to maintain 1 troop per 10pts, meaning your army should have about 200 troops in it for 2000pts
Skaven is very versatile though you should probably decide on the kind of list you want, a close combat oriented one, a monster oriented one, a ranged oriented one or a magic oriented one.

The bell does tend to work better for me at 2500 points. But the bell is not a must for a CC skaven army.
If you want to run a skaven tower in 2000, try the plague furnace.
It hits harder in CC, and cheaper to field, but is even more fragile than bell.

Ideally what you want for a CC, is as said above the plague furnace but combine that with a lodestone or something to make them virtually immune to magic with the magic res 2 they already get giving them something like 2+ wards vs magical weapons/attacks and spells (afaik)
Combine them also with the plague banner from clan pestilence gear you then have a unit of preferably 25+ plague monks (as the furnace counts as 15, this makes a 40man unit theoretically) that have 1atk base profile, +1 additional close combat weapon, +1 Frenzy, that are toughness 4 and stubborn because of the furnace, the banner allows them once per game to reroll all failed misses and wounds in a single round of combat for those must-have massacre times.
As well as that you also get the plague priest, with pestilent breath with a plague censor, plus the furnaces censor is 2x toughness tests for everyone afflicted (given your monks are afflicted more difficultly) its a risky run, but it does add some extra punch.
that unit alone will carve its way through most steadfast blocks as the furnace itself does come with impact hits and its own unique abilities.
From there on you might want to consider running 2x abominations and a whole lot of slaves - gutter runners - night runners, with there weapons teams. if you can afford the points

MR does NOT increase your ward save VS magical weapons, or attacks. The only spells it affects are specified magic missiles. Any kind of MR is about worthless because there are so few magic missile spells.
Also, if you're going to give the plague priest the censer; take 40+ monks, as the censer affects your guys too. When you’re mounted on a furnace, that’s a lot of plague monks testing for the gas effect.

If your going with a plague priest always equip him with a flail, the gas effect, even with the better roll still kills off to much of your hammer unit to be effective.
If you are insisting taking a bell, make sure you take a storm banner too, because it will save you from the early game shooting attacks that will be directed at it

Ive been mulling over the bell myself, the only way I like it used is if I have gutter runners available to assassinate the enemy artillery (as I personally field too much ranged weaponry to take a storm banner)
But yeah, the effects of someone force triggering the bell can be.. devastating.

38 plague monks
Plague banner
2 Hellpit abominations
it may only have 4 units but it has proven very effective
