So I am completely new to fantasy and have been painting up ogres for the last couple of months. As they get closer to completion and as my local gaming club gets more antsy for me to join them I am trying to work out the best all purpose lists I can make with what I have. I've worked it out and I can get a 2000 point army or so out of this which is great cause if I ever want to use Greasus.

***** SIDE NOTE ***** WHY WOULD THEY MAKE GREASUS OVER 1000 GNOBLARS IN POINTS.

Couldn't they have just made his base cost 500 points so that I could use him in a 2000 point game. They could have cut one of his abilities down to do this and made it an upgrade....

Anyway, I'm posting cause I figured if I let you guys see what I have, maybe some veteran ogre players can help me understand what is more valuable and which items I should be using as add ons for bigger point games. Also any tips on essential upgrades would help or how to use the more obscure pieces like Yetis.

So without further rambling:

1x Greasus Goldtooth
1x Golfag (can use him as a regular man-eater or tyrant)
2x Butchers/ Slaughtermasters
1x Hunter

30x Gnoblar (Full Command)
6x Bulls (Full Command)
6x Ironguts (Full Command)
4x Leadbelchers

3x Maneaters
3x Yeti

1x Stonehorn
1x Scraplauncher

So anything helps (lists, tactica, things I ought to still get, things that I should marginalize etc)

Thanks in advance for any help

I would go with

Slaughtermaster Lvl4
Crown of Command
Armor 2+ 5++
and a Weapon of some sort

BSB
Standerd od Discpline

Butcher LvL 1
Hell Heart

Core

6X Bulls Full Command (Butcher here)
6X Iron Guts FC (Other Characters Here)

3 X 10 Trappers

Special
4 Leadbealchers
3 Maneaters (Poison and Sniper)
Brace of Pistols

Rare
Stonehorn
Scraplauncher

Somethign easy you might be able to add in with some extra models (ie. wolves or something) would be 3 Saber tusks in units of one for redirectors and warmachine hunters. You said you have the hunter, he comes with two.

Use the Trappers as Redirectors and speedbumps to cause dangerous terrain tests to help protect your flank a little bit

The Slaughtermaster works very well with Death, or Heavens and in the unit with the BSB He is Leadership 9 rerollable

Your Leadbelchers and maneaters can be on the flanks taking shots at anythign that gets close. Maneaters with poison and sniper are great for Monsterous creatures and picking out Characters in units.

Those are my opinions on a rough list to work off of.

My Armies:
Space Wolves
Ogre Kingdoms
