I am doing up some Free French. For me this fulfills 3 objectives: One, getting rid f so much LW Brit stuff that my Brit army really doesnt need. I want to do a Minor Power. And I wanted to do a US force forever but hate painting the Allied Star on everything!

Part 3 is here: Objective, Vehicle Paint Scheme and List http://tabletoptacticians.blogspot.com/2012/01/road-to-paris-part-3-vehicle-paint.html

Part 2 is here: Infantry test model http://tabletoptacticians.blogspot.com/2012/01/road-to-paris-part-2.html

Part 1, pics of the assembled stuff, and stuff that I am repainting.... http://tabletoptacticians.blogspot.com/2012/01/road-to-paris-part-1.html

Enjoy. I will update as I get models done.

That's what decals are for.

I run a French EW list with Somuas and Hotchkisses, and I'm *very* grateful for the decals that BF made available... French EW tanks just aren't French EW tanks without all of the various symbols and numbers that had all over them.

On another note, does the 2eme Division get access to FFI forces? If so, you might want to consider adding a unit of them as a color option once the PDF is updated properly.

Thing is, I am doing late war French, so they have all late war US stuff, and had completely different symbols. I'd love to use the french roundels and such, but cant, so I have to paint them.

Actually, I was referring to the Allied Stars. You complained about having to paint them. Those are available as decals.

Nice painting.me i would not worry about the decals unless you are planning on playing in a tourney. But that it is just me and my group. We are Gargage Gamers. We concentrate on tactics and game playing more than models. One of players always says wow you actually painted it!Of course he is are Tin General.
