So I really don't like the look of the current oblitorators. I have this idea in my head of terminators that are duel wielding Plasma Cannons and Multi-Meltas and shoulder mounted lascannons instead. Anyone try something like this before? I can't seem to figure out which version of the weapons to use. I have thought about using the weapons out of the devastator box or getting a few of the sponsoon weapons from the new Leman Russ tanks. Any input on where I should start would be greatly appreciated.

What I went for when I did it was:
AOBR Terminators that I had lying around
Guitar wire (for tubes and making them look techy)
Lascannons, HB, chainswords, flamers, MM, pretty much anything I had in my bits box. I bulked them up with GS, made large patches of warped flesh along with guns melded to them. Wasn't too difficult, although terminators are shorter than obliterators, so you will either have to put them on a base so they are slightly taller, or bulk them up sufficiently.

Agreed, that was extremely dickish Piz, in future I think if you don't have anything constructive to say, keep your mouth shut.
EDIT: a base on top of a base? Why the heck didn't I have that idea? It's so simple, yet does the job perfectly, nice going!

They look pretty good, the only thing I would say is they need some GS flesh stuff on them, no need to insult someones work without even giving any criticism, how would you like it if I went into your gallery and said that sentinel looked terrible...

I like those Oblits, very McFarlanesque.
Personally I would have gone a little more organic, if only to show the guns as being actually part of the oblit, but overall I think they're cool.

lint, those are nice, very well done. Im not a fan of the organic, so on mine i will add some cables and some kind of backpack as i have no GS skills at all. Yours are very cool, way better than GW.

GS is actually surprisingly easy to do on Chaos models, just practise a little bit, and buy the GS off eBay, never, ever, ever from GW. Ever.

You could stick aobr termies and spawns together in a giant tube filled with glue, gs and various other tings you don't regognize and see what happens.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

Agreed, they might not be "great" but theyre far from rubbish.
They do remind me somewhat of Ork Kombi weapons though.
