So, long time lurker, first time poster here. Had a game last week where my Eldar opponent ran a group of Wraithguard out directly in front of a lone War Walker. I took a pot shot at the War Walker the next turn and he claimed a cover save. We bent over and looked and gave him the save. The next turn he shot at the same unit with the War Walker. I claimed a cover save, and he said "No, the weapons of the War Walker are well above the Wraithguard and your models are not obscured." Now, pg 58 states that you draw line of sight along the barrel of the weapon the vehicle is firing, and pg 62 lays out the rules for vehicles gaining cover. From the view of my guys to the body of his walker, he looked to have 50% cover. And from the barrel of his guns to my guys, he didn't draw LOS through any Wraithguard. So, is this correct? Does his vehicle get a cover save and my guys don't? Would this be the same situation if he were shooting at a vehicle of mine, say a Razorback, or would be both get cover save?

on the forum. Obviously

I don't know...I would say its possible, but he should have really allowed you to verify.
That's the problem with TLOS; it can get a bit "unfair" at times.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

its viable, I played a nid player who did it all the time but with gaunts, warriors and such.

TBH I tend to do this with my WG army. lords at the back, wraiths in the middle and quins up front so everyone has cover

Nothing about this is unfair. We are all aware of how the rules work.
