Hello All!

Here are pics of a recent commission work for a model painted to be an Adeptus Mechanicus with two servo skulls.

It is modeled and painted as requested.

This was a Space Marine Iron hands "Iron Father" model made into an Adeptus Mechanicus model with a Salvage Servo Skull and a Sensor Servo Skull.

The model is supposed to be on an old battle field looking for "Tech" and has sensed danger.

I hope you like it.
Thanks
D.

What's an 'Adeptus Mechanicus'? If you mean tech priest, I think he's a bit too close to a Space Marine, I'd still think he was a techmarine of some king.

Still, superbly modelled... I love the Servo Skull shooting that laser beam! Is it a paper clip that you bent up at the end to make the emitter?

Fantastically done! Love the little servo skull lazor-ing a rock

I disagree, I think it looks suitably AdMech. they do wear power armor, after all.

It was originally an Iron Hands space Marine model.
The salvage servo skull was originally attached to the "Iron Fathers" left shoulder pad. I removed it and placed it on the ground cutting into a piece of damaged equipment. I used a thin steel rod for the laser cutting beam.

The Adeptus Mechanicus run Mars.

Very cool! I love the servo skull with the laser. I agree he still looks space marine-ish, I usually expect robes and cowls with tech-priests, but thats just me. Great job over all.

No offense, but that isn't really an Iron Father model converted to be a techpriest... That's just an Iron Father painted red. You didn't change the base model at all. I think to make it into a member of the AM, as has been said earlier, you needed to change the base model a bit more.

That being said, your painting is amazing. And I do like the little laser-skull.

Great work as always dman. That servo-skull is one of the most charming little details I've ever seen on a model.

Really nicely painted, but I agree with the others; it's still too Techmarine. Putting tattered robes over the top (through which you could leave the armour visible) would have broken the association very well.

Still, as long as the client likes it! :-)

That is one beautifully modelled Tech-Marine!

Really enjoy the servo-skull's laser. Idea stolen.

This model was sent to me for a commission work. It was modeled and painted as requested by the customer.
It was to go into his Adeptus Mechanicus army.
So, I was match colors as close as possible and make sure it was as he wanted it.
I did give the servo skulls their missions on the model. One to be the look out and the other on salvage detail. Cutting into some old damaged machinery looking for tech.

Thanks. The grey on the base is the color the customer requested.
All parts are pinned into place to add strength and durability.
All models are packed with care. Usually, I will place many cotton balls around a model within bubble wrap in a box filled with foam packing peanuts.
