Sure this has been asked.... but...

Classic Kan wall:
If I give Grot Rigers to 2 of 3 of each squadron of Kans. I can re-roll those immobilized = wrecked results right?

Mek's Tools:
Does Mek's Tools only apply to "Weapon Destroyed" or any damage result?

Riggers don't do what you want them to in this case. If your Kanz got immob'd they're wrecked.

If you're squadroned you become wrecked immediately.

You can't use the Riggers until your turn, where they would allow you to repair an Immobilized result, but your Kanz aren't immobilised at this point, they're wrecked, so it doesn't work.

Meks Tools can be used to repair a Weapon destroyed or Immobilized result. Wrecked and Explodes are unrepairable, and the shaken/stunned results aren't repairable with the tools either.

PG 34 Ork codex lays it out pretty clearly as to what Mek's Tools do, and Grot Rioggers is on Pg 93.

They can be handy to patch up blown off weapons, but the mek will be at risk.

Frankly kanz are so cheap for what they do that i'd just run them with a gun each, and not worry about them getting dinged up.

The Mek's Tools can repair a Weapon Destroyed on a Kan he is B2B contact with during the shooting phase.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.
