Alright I'm hunting for some simple green as I'm out of stripping material and I came across the Simple Green Pro M in the 1 gallon jug, now this stuff says it's for metal so am I right to assume this stuff will reduce my mini's to blobs of mush? if that is the case where can I get a large amount of the classic stuff that will work?

not sure if there are Walmarts in Canada but thats where you can by it as well as Purple Power and Super Clean which either is infinitely better than SImple Green.

I have seen Simple Green sold at grocery stores, but perhaps large hardware stores like Lowes or Homedepot would have them as well.

Canadian Tire sells 1 gallon (3.78 Liters) of the "regular" simple green ($14.99cdn) just do a search for Simple Green on their website. I bought a jug last weekend.

I have also seen the large jugs at Costco and Walmart

Seconded that there is better than simple green. In a home depot like place, right near the simple green is 'industrial purple'. A 5 gal jug here costs about $12.

Soak for ~20 minutes, rinse with a little toothbrushing, pretty much back to bare plastic. I left a boy in for a few hours just to see, and it did no harm to the model. So you can fill something, do batches, and have an army stripped in an afternoon with plenty left over.

Wear gloves, this stuff will dry out your hands pretty quickly, but other than that it's amazing.

I shall express myself to the fullest, regardless of state or local laws. -me-

another question in regards to simple green....do any of you dilute the concentration with water when you soak it??? has anyone tried warming it up to 70 degrees and seen marginally better results?
i just got a cheap ultrasonic cleaner i was going to throw some simple green ( or comparitive product ) into it and try and strip the army i painted when i was 10 ( poor dark angels)

The difference between heresy and treachery is ignorance.

Don't bother diluting it. Full strength won't hurt the plastic. As for warmer versus cooler, it would be marginal at best, if I'm thinking about this properly.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
