Hi there,
Warhammer Forge is taking on a greenish hue this week, as the mighty Orc Rogue Idol rampages its way onto pre-order. For those of you attending AdeptiCon 2012 we’ve also got details of our presence at this show as we are now taking reservation orders for this event.

Orc Rogue Idol
When greenskin tribes gather for war, foetid effigies depicting the Orc gods Gork and Mork will be constructed. Using rock, dung, old battle trophies and other detritus, these ‘statues’ are intended to bring the favour of Mork (or possibly Gork) to the Orcs and Goblins mustering in their shadow. Some are no more than a heap of stones or no larger than a chapel door, but when a Waaagh! is brewing they can grow to immense proportions, and become so infused with the greenskins’ lust for battle that they are roused into life and will lumber forth to crush and bludgeon the enemy.

If a Waaagh! is subsequently defeated, or the concentration of greenskin magic dissipates, the idol will lapse back into immobility. However, when a Storm of Magic rages across the Warhammer world these gigantic devotions to the greenskin gods may rise up again as a Rogue Idol, mindlessly attacking all in their way until the storm blows its course.

The Orc Rogue Idol resin kit, designed by Mark Bedford, is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing 10th February. You can also download experimental rules for the Rogue Idol, taken from the next Warhammer Forge expansion, Monstrous Arcanum.

Warhammer Forge Events News:
AdeptiCon 2012, 19th to 22nd April, Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, Chicago
Forge World will again be attending AdeptiCon this year, and we’re excited to announce that we are now accepting reservation orders for this popular event. While we will be bringing a huge selection of our range of books, resin kits and modelling products, placing a reservation order is the best way to ensure that we have exactly what you want packed up and waiting for you at the show.

You can either telephone us on 011 44 115 900 4995, or send an e-mail entitled ‘AdeptiCon 2012 Reservation’ to forgeworldreservations@games-workshop.co.uk. We will need your name, a list of the items that you wish to order, and a contact e-mail address for yourself. In the week prior to the event, we will send you a confirmation e-mail containing your order number, details of any items that are unavailable, and a total cost in US$ (less local sales tax) that will be payable at the event.

Problem with using it as Tree Kin is it'll be a bit expensive, at 65 squids a pop, and secondly, judging from the size of the skulls embedded in it's surface, it'd be a bit on the big size. And rightly so, for the price it's at.

Rock Monster!

I'm liking it. It's nice that rather than focus in one direction so far, they're trying to expand the Warhammer Forge range before focusing.
