Well, with a certain well known American sporting event kicking off at 6:38pm Eastern on Sunday, it's inspired my little group to figure out the nerdiest way to celebrate the Super Bowl. So, of course, we're starting a new Blood Bowl league (as if the subject didn't give that away). I haven't played much since you could still buy Blood Bowl and Death one in GW stores (and some UK Toys R Us stores), so it's practically brand new to me again.

One thing that isn't brand new is that, once again, I'm the only one playing a definitely pass-happy team. Last time that worked out, as they all built teams to stomp on each other, meaning I could run around them and ended up champ.

Here's the 8 teams:

League is going to be round robin style, each team plays every other team twice (so home and away), and then the top 4 go into a play-off for the prestigious Blood Bowl trophy itself. We're planning to get at least 3 games in Sunday before the Super Bowl starts (multiple boards mean multiple games)

The teams are:

1. Yvresse Towers (High Elves) - This is me, team has 1 thrower, 2 catchers and 9 linemen (blockers aren't worth the extra $ starting up) and two re-rolls. All our teams get 3 Fan Factor for free (house rule), so team is valued at 1,030,000 GP (team rating 103)
2. Everpeak Redbeards (Dwarfs) - this is going to be my first game opponent, I don't know what he has, except for no Death Roller, and that his team rating will also be 103.
3. Azhag's SeaOrcs (Orcs)
4. Quatar Warsphinxes (Khemri) <-- Not played a Khemri eam before, have played and struggled against regular undead
5. Nuln Arsenal (Human) - known as the Gunners
6. Karak Kadrin Slayers (Dwarfs)
7. Tzeentch Terrors (Chaos)
8. Squigsburgh Stealers (Orcs)

Starting this thread because I intend to have match reports for all the Yvresse Towers games posted on here, starting with the season-opener vs. the Redbeards. I'll likely be using the old play-by-email blood bowl tool for pictures.
