Hey, Dakka!

I thought I may as well log my Chaos Renegade Militia army as I build it up, and what better place to do it, eh?
When I gather some painty supplies, they will be dedicated to Slaanesh, so they will don worn purpley-pink armour and dirty-white fatigues with glowing green eyes.

(Some of...Most of these are fairly bad quality pics, but they're just to give you an idea of what the squad looks like at the moment, more detailed and clear pictures will be put up when they've seen a lick of paint!)

I apologise again for the pic quality, but hopefully that gives you an Idea of what the squad looks like at the moment I decided to add a HW team to the squad instead of two extra troops for two reasons: I couldn't get the last pairs of arms to fit the last two troops, and autoguns have 0AP value, so I wanted something with some extra punch

Some of the pieces have an undercoat on them already, but thats because I sliced apart my IG and replaced the missing parts with the FW kits

I'll upload some pictures tomorrow when these guys have some paint one 'em any C&C is welcome, but please no photography comments, these were rushed and ruff!

Wow, its nice to see someone actually doing renegades for once. I really like the poses here, and the Heavy weapons team in the last pic. I especially like the Veteran Sergeant's pose. Really dynamic.

Glad you like the poses! The HW team was a bit of a last minute idea, but I'm pleased with how it turned out

I'll happily follow this. I'm doing renegades myself so another renegades thread is good for inspiration.

Always look good those models - looking forward to seeing some paint.

Update!

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to take any pictures, but I've made progress:

First, I've scrapped my Slaanesh colour scheme and gone for a chaos undivided one instead, it looks much better

My renegade leman russ (which I haven't shown you yet ) has been chaos'd up with some spikes that I borrowed from my friends Chaos Battleforce, and looks pretty cool!

The melta-gunner is finished, he looks cool too!

And, I've decided to work some demons or demonic elements into my army, as I LOVE the models, but might need your thoughts and advice on this!

I'm liking the paint scheme! Mainly as it seems pretty close to mine

Out of curiosity how did you paint the metallic armor? The armor on mine looks a little too clean

I like the grim looking hood there! assuming that is blood - hes been getting very involved, diving head first into fights ..(apologies for the cheese.)

@Orkboy232 I used chainmail, then washed over it with watered down beastial brown (hehe, that rhymes...)

I have no-idea on how I'm gonna run it as of now, but for now my two infantry squads (the second is still just legs ) will count as Diciples of Xaphan, so my army will be legal and I can learn to play. From there on out, it will likely be a mass infantry horde that throws itself at the enemy until I win Thats the fun of playing an evil army, you don't get attached

Which book are you using to build the list?

Well, I'm using the Siege of Vraks IA books that I totally don't have free PDF versions of, but, to justify this, I'm using the PDF version of the Renegade militia army list that Forge world has up for download:

So thats the list out of the part 1 book then. Wouldn't you need to assemble a couple armored fist squads or platoons to have a legal list as the Disciples are elites?

Not if your doing a "Counts-As" and just saying the whole army are Disciples instead of just the elite units
