Sorry im new to space marines been playing Tyranids for a year so sadly i have no knowledge on any space marines.

i would just like to know which army (preferably battleforce) would be best to convert into black templars. I know any of them can be converted, but as of weapons, tactics, look, and what they have attached to them is what i want to know. As i have said I am new to space marines so i don't know any weapons on which army belongs to what and what black templars use. I know some of you are experienced or pro players so i hope you can help.

Reason why i would prefer a battleforce is becouse i would like to know which battleforce would be a good start for black tempars as each battleforce haa a different unites and vehicle. I guise what im saying is which battleforce is a great start as black tempars

please help i would like to play something other then tyranids at the moment.

Well I recommend you get the Space Marine battleforce along with the Black Templars upgrade pack to convert them. The battleforce has assault marines, scouts and tactical marines. Scouts are good for initiates.

Yeah, with the Black Templar upgrade kit, it doesn't matter what battleforce you get. But, if you don't want to, the Space Wolf battleforce would be nice, if of course you don't mind carving off Wolfy bits. The Space Wolves come with plenty of close combat weapons, which is what you want, and also comes with "scouts" which can be used as Neophytes. And it's ESPECIALLY awesome if you want Drop Pods over Rhinos.

The correct question is, would I be enjoying this hobby if I did this?

The correct audience is you.

Get the generic Space Marine battleforce or whatever, and then get the Black Templar Chapter Upgrade sprue.

dark angels also work. There is enough similarity so long as you refrain from using DA iconography.. but the BT upgrade pack its going to be.
