This, a million times this.

Without taking Saga of the Bear he will likely die. Especially against Monstrous Creatures, like Hive Tyrants or Daemon Princes.

HQs at 1500 is a bit tense, but totally in the spirit of the army list. I'm not a fan of double Rune Priests but it is definitely effective.
For one Rune Priest I would bring Living Lightning/Storm caller and for the other Living Lightning/Murderous Hurricane. One of them I would give Saga of the Beastslayer as well (which might let you keep the Bolt Pistol on the one, mind is fuzzy at the moment). Being able to re-roll a 2+ to hit means you are likely to hit with every one of those
D6 shots, and its nice to be able to affect those big bugs from a distance.

You need 5 Wolf Guard to take the Assault Cannon. I definitely recommend it, though I know many players rave about
CML. I'm not a fan of those personally. Every time I take one I miss the Assault Cannon.
You could take one with a Combi-Melta to act as a Pack Leader for the Wolf Scouts

5 Sniper Rifles
This is just, well, not good. The real strength of Wolf Scouts is that their ability to Outflank and come from a different angle. Usually toting a Meltagun. Sniper Rifles themselves are fairly subpar in many respects, though they can be fun for taking down big bugs. Too many other things in the Code are good at that though. Also if you do this, there is no reason not to be taking a heavy weapon (either Heavy Bolter of Missile Launcher) with them as well.
A rarity, but i'd agree with the consensus of the Interwebs on this one. At minimum bring 5 with a Meltagun, attach a Wolf Guard Pack Leader and Outflank with them. Sometimes you'll want to Infiltrate instead, but typically the disruption they can cause on the enemy backline is just too useful.

Power Fists are a waste of points on a Grey Hunter. Put it to you like this, your Grey Hunter with Power Fists costs 40 points. For 43 points you can take a Wolf Guard with Combi-Melta and Power Fist. You gain Leadership 9, an extra Melta shot (never know when you need an high strength and low
AP weapon against Tyranids), and he has 2 attacks with the Power Fist instead of 1. Mark of the Wulfen is a much smarter buy than the Power Fist, and instead of the Power Fist you can tack on a Power Weapon too (both the
MotW and
PW cost 5 points more than just the Power Fist, so why not?) for even more close combat goodness.
There just really is no valid reason to take a Power Fist on a Grey Hunter.

Too many different types of weapons in my opinion but its not like you'll have something that can't be used. Against non-Tyranids you may find you want higher than S8 or more single shot anti-armor (more Missile Launchers or Lascannons) but this will work perfectly fine against Tyranids.

I have Decided to run with flamers over meltaguns because my main opponent is a Tyranid player(if i need melta our gaming group has no problem with proxies. SO basic idea is Wolf Lord Joins the Wolf Guard Termies in a Drop Pod, The 2 Rhino units rush up to objectives and hold them as long as possible, The long fangs, snipers and 10 man squad defend my home objective(when needed) the ten man squad are there with them to deal with gene stealers etc.
I have 45 points left over, any suggestions and criticisms are welcome.
So, you need to fix your Wolf Guard. They don't all have to be Terminators either, so its fine to take a bunch of power armor and just one in
TDA for the heavy weapon. You do need 5, which you may have but wasn't sure of. The problem is only 4 can fit in with the Wolf Guard. If you already have 5 I would suggest taking the Assault Cannon as a Pack Leader for the on foot Grey Hunters.
Also, don't let Tyranids touch you. You may want to be more defensive and not rush those Rhinos forward. Not sure what your opponent is doing, but my local Nid guy would swarm you over if you play too aggressively. Its the only army I ever have to pick somewhere and draw a line in the sand and just wait.
Also also, the Drop Pod buy itself is basically a suicide device. If you can get two more, take them for the on foot Grey Hunters (and lower their number if needed) and the Long Fangs and just never deploy the Long Fangs in the pod. Set them up on the table and you now have 3 Drop Pods. Their rules make it so that two will come in Turn 1, so you can bring in a squad of Grey Hunters with your Wolf Guard. Better would be to ditch it since the Wolf Guard
TDA just won't do as much as you think it will.
