We have a new player,kinda an old vet from the Warhammer GAmes!My brother.So with out further a due here is the Challenge.Build me a soviet army for a 125$.ATM here is what i came up with,Zveda katashusa,Stormviks,PSC tanks and summer infantry.

Here is the BAttle plan. opening Salvo of rockets,move tanks in with riders to mop up.With air support.pretty basic battle plan.

There they have 15mm Command Descision, which is almost right on with scale with Battle Front's miniatures. Command descision has a very large selection of infantry vehicles and guns, and what you pay for one tank with Battle front, you'll get three with CD. Infantry is a little harder because you have to buy a pack of 50 riflemen then 50 command and then 50 LMG or HMG. So in the end you'll spend about $36 on infantry but have full companies of them! So you make out int he end.

Another expense is bases, CD doesn't come with any, but with the savings you are getting, 12.50 on some bases is nothing.

By the way, the quality is great!

Yes,you are rite about the old glory infantry.I own a few of the infantry packs and i was quite happy with them.I just buy the Battlefront command sets and they work out great.Also thanks for the buying tip.. I may have to that soon.

My biggest problem is, being a secondary caster for Skytrex (who incidentally are more expensive but really do have nice casts), a lot of their molds are old and worn out, meaning mini quality can vary anywhere from very good to "lump-of-lead". OG/CD will use a mold until its starting to fall apart and its really a crap-shoot whether you're going to receive nice minis or not. Their infantry are also packaged badly for FOW. When you buy a pack of German Riflemen, sure you get 50 riflemen but you get no command or support figures. Want some LMGs in your rifle platoon? Sorry, you have to buy a separate pack of 50 German LMGs for that! Want a few command figs? Again, buy another 50-pack.

Also, I loathe the $50 "club" idea. It made sense in an era before the internet and e-shops but its a dead barricade to buying affordable minis. That $50 only takes off 40%, so you end up having to buy more to break even and $50 is a lot of money.

I can see where you're coming from but however I must disagree. I haven't gotten a bad mold with their vehicles yet, and though their infantry are not right on par with battle front miniatures, they are damn close! I bought a platoon of early war german infantry from Battle front and it cost me about $29 for 50 of them, so to get 200 I need to pay 36 at Command Decision? I think I will save that nearly 75%.

Also, when it comes to CD tanks, you get them in packages of three, and their artillery sometimes in four. So with that 40% off, I am getting three Panzer 38's for $14, where three at Battlefront would cost me $36-40. That's more than 50% in savings right there, and again I must strive that the quality of their casts are not bad at all.
