I was wondering if anyone knows if this is going to happen?

It is normally held in January and they moved it to March this year and I have not heard anything about it, and it is only 6 weeks away and they have not updated the website or pre-sold tickets yet.

Personally they should have held it in January because the weekend that they want to hold it (March 18th) there is St. Patrick's day and March Madness and the hotel prices are very high.

My understanding is that Vern is negotiating a venue, but you might want to talk to him in PMs.

Hi guys. I am sorry to say that we are not able to hold our events in the venu that we did in the past. This has led to searching for a venu that would allow us to hold the event while still keeping the pricing reasonable ($20-$25 max) Unfortunatly we have not been able to get any thing solid set up until November 3rd and we still have to finalize some stuff on that front before putting anything up. We would still like to do an event this spring/summer but it is dependant on finding the right venu to work with. I have had no response from GW on anything concerning the tournament circuit since Sept 30 so the event date is still listed but we will get it changed with GW when we can. I will definetly post info on these and other boards as soon as I can get a solid date and price worked out.

P.S. Ironman was normally held in November until two years ago when we decided to try out January and be the first tournament of the year, but we have found there to be a bunch of concerns/logistical problems with the idea so we were planning on the March/April time frame to keep the end of the year clear for holiday stuff.

Thanks for the interest and just know that I am trying very hard to make this happen at some point.

I am happy to announce that I have just finalized details that will allow us to run Ironman XVIII on March 24th only 1 week later than planned. We will be running the event at the Little Shop pf Magic in Las Vegas Nevada. Due to not providing lunch and the lower levels of prize support from GW we will be chargeing $15 or $10 if pre paid and registered (army list submitted) by March 10th.
