On page 12 of Codex: Chaos Daemons, it mentions that only one challenger has ever made it through the entire maze about the impossible fortress.

The reference was that of a young girl with a little black dog.

This sounds like something I should know but I can't put my finger on where this reference is comming from. Maybe it's a wizard of oz? or alice in wonder land? or some other fariy tale?

Anyone know where the reference is from?

It sounds like the wizard of oz, Dorothy and Toto (small black dog), I'll have to go read the Daemon codex to see that.

Did Dorthy have to go through any trials and get accused of cheating somewhere in there? I don't recall the wizard of Oz much.

When I think of Oz, I keep seeing the prison drama XD

Perhaps it was a reference to both.

Behold the true form of The Changer of Ways.

I always get the labyrinth confused with the never ending story , narnia, and with Legend.

Tzeentch has no constant form. His form is whatever he feels like at any given moment.

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

It's a reference to the Wizard of Oz yes. It suggests that in 40k canon the events of the Wizard of Oz in fact actually happened, and the Wizard Dorthy met at the end was Tzeentch. Tzeentch did exist at the time the story is set, so it's possible.

That is hilarious.

Must be Oz though, the dog in labyrinth was kinda light greyish and not really all that small although Bowie could be a good changer.

????????????????????

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.'
