I am not in any way financially connected to the game, and not even socially connected to the writers.

I just like the game and want to get the word out about it.
Fun game about giant stompy battle robots and other armed units blasting away at each other.
Straight D10 for hits and damage allocation, nifty grid armor diagram mechanic. Rather basic movement.

I like the game and its miniatures, but I really like the inspiration it seems to be spreading around the fans. Some guys are using re-purposed Mechwarrior Dark Age models, some are experimenting with downscaling the game and using Battleforce scale battletech models and 6mm guys and vehicles, and one guy is working on a 28mm version using Robogear models. I had a brief notion to do a 54mm version using dollar store army men and 8" Robotech toys.

Anyway, it is a fun game, and right now it is going for about six bucks. (through February.)

I'm going to go work on my paper models now.

I like the game a bit, its also a great use for my click-tek battlemechs as you mentioned. I thought the hex terrain bit could use some more options but its still nice.

However, the heat balance seems way off. I found very little reason not to max out as many lasers as possible, as (provided no rules change has happened) the worst penalty for overheating by a ton was a bit of damage. Considering the extra damage you deal by ignoring heat basicly outweighs the damage you take, it was a bit open to abuse.

Not that any game is perfect, but just a few tweaks would be fantastic for that game, which is simple and straight forward.
