Ever since the release of 1.0/1.1 and the language packs, I've been inspired to do one of my own. (Read: Edit the ENG_US file.

)

The funny thing is: I ran out of ideas. I mean, what the hell would an Ork call sand? Cake? I beseech you, fair Dakkanaughts. Help me in my struggle.

You can access the language files by following this path: (Mac)
user/library/applicationsupport/minecraft/bin

Make sure you back up your bin/jar/etc.
Open the minecraft.jar using Archive Utility.
Open the created folder and look for a folder named "lang" no quotations. Find EN_US.lang and open it with Text Edit/Text Wrangler/Etc
Proceed to edit the language.
To test, rename the folder created in step 2 to minecraft.jar AND MOVE THE OLD .JAR SOMEWHERE SAFE.

I'm unfamiliar with windows, but I'm sure you follow the path for switching .jars. Just follow the same steps as above, amended for navigating Windows.

Up for suggestion now are:
Squids, Ghasts, Blazes, Slimes, Magma Slimes, Endermen, Villagers, Mooshrooms, Snow Golems, and the Enderdragon. (I'll probably not edit the Enderdragon. Have you seen that thing?)

A quick question, what is the cow-like creature the Imperium uses as food? Ambulls?

And Chickens. Yeah. What's the 40k equivalent? I was thinking of making them Snotlings, but I'm sure there's a better choice.

Ambulls look like this.

No idea what they use. Maybe just make them varying Squigs? Snotling Chickens would be awesome.

The Imperium uses Grox because they're able to eat anything and survive in the most inhospitable environments. They are however quite vicious... So I guess they'd be a mob.

Well, I've got pigs going down as squigs, though I guess I could just make them Orky looking and call 'em boars.

I think I can make the cows into Grox, I can make a few exceptions (like hostility).

Maybe. I'm currently working on a (not 40k) RP server with some people I know. I'll get back to you on that.

I like this idea, but there's a problem. The ghast template is a big box.

Now, if I could change the shape of the mob. . .

Edit: Worked on the Grox skin a bit. Got a good base down. Now I need to fix the scales so they aren't so repetitive.

This sounds like it'd be better as an entire graphical mod, rather than just a lang/text change, do we happen to have any coders/people who actually know anything about minecraft's coding? hell, does anyone know Java?
