So I've been helping my buddy with his Army List for an upcoming tournament in a few weeks. He's jumping all over the place but we were kicking around mech list ideas. Can anyone tell me why you wouldn't want to take this?

Shield of Sanguinius, Fear of the Darkness

x2 Furiso Dreadnought - 125 Points
Blood Talons

x6 Assault Squad - 155 Points
5 with Las/Plas Razorback

x2 Baal Predator - 135 Points
Flamestorm Cannon, Heavy Flamers

x2 Predator - 100 Points
Autocannon, Heavy Bolters

Total Points - 1750

I'm not a fan of playing Razorspam personally but I'll be damned if it can't be effective sometimes. Originally the list had a 3rd Baal and Dakka Predator, plus Dozer Blades for the Baal Preds. Considering you only need to move 6" so you can fire all your guns still, dropping them for Furisos for some fun Anti-Horde didn't seem a bad idea. Given how much armor is on the table they probably will live to get there.

So how do you guys rate it? Does part of your soul die looking at it like mine? lol Looks ugly to play against, and only fun for tread heads.

Flamers on tanks are hard to position.
Then your normal preds could do with lascannons given the baals will now have heavy bolters and assault cannons.

Drop the flamestorm on the baal's, with mech it's best to stay out of assault range.

I like to run 2 Librarian's just so that shield cover save is maxed.

Using the dreads is tough in this list, you'll want to stay out of assault range but the Dreads will want to close. Unless you use them for a counter charge, but they might just site there...
