This was a complete accident but was incredibly traumatic and horrible. See photo for reference:

That is my display shelf for my really old models and conversions that do not fit into my cases. I had things like a heavily convert Chaos Giant, my Khorne Warlord on Jugger, 25 Chaos Knights, All of my Skeleton Horsemen, heavily converted Possessed, old 2nd Ed Orks and IG conversions, a huge Grenadier D&D Green Dragon, and a lot more stufff of similar shape / detail.

My wife walked into my game room and (my fault here) I had a bunch of broken toys etc on the floor (I was making terrain). She stepped on something (barefoot) reeled back from the pain, bumped into my display rack, and the entire thing crashed to the floor.

Almost everything was broken to some extent. It took me a couple days to find every missing piece (which included having to clean out everything from under my game table and moving a bookcase and piano) and almost 2 weeks to repair everything.

Some models just aren't the same anymore, but most survived after some repairs. We still speak of this from time to time and it is a "cold chill" shudder moment.

In case you are wondering, that shelf is now permanently affixed to the wall with heavy-duty mounts.
