Someone I was talking with online seemed confident that titans were unaffected by Anrakyr the travelers mind in the machine ability(being that close to a titan means it might happen 1 time before hes a fine red mist), I have looked and couldn't find any rule saying they were immune, all i could find is something saying they are immune to psycher abilities that don't do direct damage.Am I missing something?
I do understand that this is something that you should discuss with your opponent before the game as its something that could make opponents want to flip a table, and who wants that with all those expensive models on the table.

It's not a psychic power so Necrons can indeed take over a Titan or any other super heavy for a shooting phase.

I was looking through the IA books to find something but there are so many at this point that it could take a while to find something if it was even there.

It is covered under the rules for Super heavies in the main Apocalypse rulebook. Superheavies are immune to psychic powers except those that have a strength characteristic. Mind in the Machine is not a psychic power but rather an ability so it will work against super heavies just like Lucas the Tricksters last laugh or whatever it is called.

And that's why you discuss things like special abilities before the Apoc game. Some abilities are worth quite a lot more in games of that size, while others are pretty useless. Taking over a LR in a normal game might not be very bad all in all, taking over a Titan on the other hand...

I think it would be funny but I also think it is one of those things that might be a good idea to not abuse to much or a player may come over the table at you.

I think a good compromise would be to allow it to shoot one weapon. Heck, each weapon system is like it's own machine, with it's own crew anyways.

I would agree to allow it to control one of the weapons on a titan, otherwise seems way too strong for an apoc game. Also remember that it will not work on Tyranid Bio-Titans.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I would agree to that also, I was just asking with the original question if it worked at all.

Well since they are not vehicles I can't see how you would think that it would work, that's what deathmarks are for.

Keep in mind though, you can only take ONE Anrakyr and getting hit with a str 10 weapon isn't too difficult in Apoc games. Also he needs to be within 18" , so keep a decent sized screen around the titan if need be till Anrakyr is dead.
