i was sitting around the other day, wondering what people would think if the kroot merc's were still allowed to be played in tournies, or even the kroot codex that was made a little while back and adapted for 5th ED, while it was helped written by a GW person.
and would people be against this.

while I have a full kroot merc army built fully painted and it looks cool on the table with over 200 models running around different types of squads.
i love to play it when ever i can and 75% of the people ive asked say that it dont really matter to them at least the first time, and then if i wreck them or win my game then they change their minds.
thanks for the responses in advance.

You can always play them using the Dark Eldar Codex and some conversions.

Strangely enough, one of my local(ish) gamestores allows the kroot mercs codex in all their tournies. It's a big store too.

Some people play them as Orks in addition to Dark Eldar.

For our in-house tournaments (those that are conducted by and for club members) we allow members in good standing to play with old codices that have never been updated. Since there is no Codex: Kroot out now, it would qualify. We have a couple people who use the rule to play Daemonhunters or Witchhunters, but it gets very little use. I'd love to have a Kroot player.
