I was pondering on this, alot of people visit Dakka every day but only a small percentage put our trials and tribulations on the boards for people to praise, criticise and make objective comments on.

Amongst us there are some who work really hard and generate alot of content for the site, vote on pictures and make articles etc. Is it time to instigate an Ork Based Honours system for those Dakkanauts who really contribute?

I was thinking "Da League of Wurkin Grots" or something similiar "Mek Shop tool fetcher", "Spanner Grot", " 'ard wurkin Squig" "Wun 'rmed paper 'anger" or other such based pun in their title?

Maybe it would be awarded by Mods? So the article MOD or Gallery MOD or what have you will award those big contributors? Just a thought?

It is a nice idea, but there are so many people who contribute (especially those who are not quite so visible), that it would be hard to draw the line on what warrants praise. That would then lead to people getting annoyed when they think they should get the reward, which if granted would then be used as a case example for a dozen more, etc. until the mods have to spend a significant amount of time deciding if people were worthy of praise instead of modding.

Maybe you need a "Praise MOD" like a walking avatar of inspiration. I recommend some like Gitsplitta?

I feel the titles kinda work as Contributor Awards.
