Yes, thats right, GW has acknowledged that its once produced a regiment of pith-helmeted dress-uniformed guardsmen!! What the hell gives? After what, a half decade with absolutely no mention in the fluff, no depictions, mention, or photographs in artwork/rulebooks, etc. the noble sons of Praetoria have been featured rather prominently on the GW site this week!! What does it mean? Probably nothing, but still nice for those of us who were fans of the pith helmet

Maybe they'll mention the squats next >.>

The only time they'll mention squats is as the Ivory tower burns and the exit is blocked; the words will be "With my dying breath I curse the Squats".

Yeah, I'm hoping GW surprises us all with a nice limited edition rerelease of Praetorians, whether it be finecast or plastic. Quick and easy way to get thousands of dollars of my money.

I wonder how many of the Praetorians had their legs gnawed off by ravenous Squigs in the night.

They actually mentioned Squats in the newest White Dwarf when they mentioned things that were around in Rogue Trader. I'm just as surprised as you!

I'm surprised GW actually talked about something that wasn't' an official product, as there's no official GW Praetorian conversion sets.

Buy a pith helmet and make a matching uniform and interrupt my games for tea time too!

If they were still around I'd have a guard army, the elites either with red coats or in suits with a cane, top hat and monocle.

Columbus, Oh

he does not exist anymore, I am afraid. Disney had him in the Adventurer's Club on Pleasure Island in Orlando, FL. Great time, comedy club with interactive cast members, wall decor that moved and talked, and generally pushed the PG rating of Disney out the door.

Went in for 30 minutes and lost 6 hours of time there..

However the great Mouse saw fit to close that club down about 3-4 years ago. No plans to renovate it, either.

Indeed and that box, one of the most expensive Battleforces GW ever did, was my number one want when it was released. A couple of my friends got it, but I didn't (purely on the basis of a) cost and b) my parents thought I should be doing something more productive than building & painting models... ). I still want Praetorians. Plastic, resin, metal, I don't care, I'd just love to have a Praetorian force.

The name escapes me, but I saw their full range of models at Salute! 2011 in London and oh my word were they pretty. About £20-£30+ a piece - the Sherlock Holmes Big Game Hunter is the very best. They're in 54mm scale mind.

Men of Preatoria!!! Time for celebration:

This movie actually inspired them...song to.
Just replace "Men of Harlech" with "Preatorians", "Welshmen" with "Guardsmen" and "summon all at Cambrian's call" with "summon all at Emperor's call" and there you have it.

Can you imagine if Praetorians were the September mystery release this year? Would be GLORIOUS! I'd definitely buy enough minis to put down 6 full platoons of infantry
