I've written up and costed six Red Bear lists using Battlefront, Plastic Soldier, and Zvezda models. They're 1500 points and about $150.

p.s. I make no claims that they will win tournaments--these are budget lists!

Very nice article, it is amazing how good value the PSC and Zvezda stuff is.

I've recently started a 1000pt Finnish Panssarikomppania and the PSC T-34s and Zvezda T-26s I've bought have really saved me a lot of money over the Battlefront versions.

Nice options for a budget, though the best way to meet a budget is to *not* play Russians in Flames of War. Using similar sources you could build german lists for a good bit less cash from Grey Wolf.

Nice job, though. Sometimes you don't want to spend a lot of money, but you *still* want to play the horde.

2 with extra crew, AA platoon...2 Battlefront blisters [SU162] DShK AA truck: €18

Why buy the complete BF AA truck kit?

You can special order 3 of the Dshk AA teams for $9 and buy 3 Zvezda Zis-5 trucks for $10. That saves almost $18.

Don't forget that Axis & Allies v2 makes a fairly nice White Scout Car and you can usually pick up singles from online sellers for around $3
