I signed up for Dakkadakka to send me email notifications whenever a subscribed thread to updated. In the bodies of these emails is the text of the update. However, not all emails are readable; some of them are full of text jargon. Why is this and how do I correct it?

It is probably your email provider not supporting HTML emails (usually for security reasons). Could you copy an example into a post here so that I can see for sure?

I don't think it's an issue of support from the email provider; sometimes I can see the text without code, sometimes not.

Here is a same of a code-heavy email:

from my email: wrote:<html>
<head>
<base href="http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/">
<style type="text/css">@import url( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum//templates/default/styles/style.css );</style>
</head>
<body>

See the above, now imagine no formatting, one big paragraph, and no space between codes (the thread here autocorrects).

is it for all types of mails, or just thread subscriptions, and if just thread subscriptions, does it show this with consistent or inconsistent behaviour?

I should have, but haven't, tracked it consistently. But of the emails I have seen recently, it seems the threads I start have clean text, and those I respond to have a lot of code.
