I am really wondering what happens to Titus from Space Marine? Does he get executed or does he live after a parole of sorts? It seems to me Leandros can fall to Chaos because of his attitude and strictness as the demons can use that to there advantage.

An Inquisitor is unlikely to take killing an Ultramarines Captain lightly. Unless there is evidence of him being corrupted, I don't think he would be executed. It's possible that the Inquisition would request his services (for the Deathwatch or something else) but other than that I'd imagine that his abilities would be investigated (because let's face it, being able to replicate them would be very helpful) and he'd be later released.

Leandros is unlikely to fall to Chaos since he seems to often be on the lookout for it. If anything, strictness protects you from Chaos because you won't open yourself up to countenance the idea of it. I see no reason why Leandros would be any more likely to fall to Chaos than Titus himself, or any other Astartes.

I see. I am glad as he is one of my favorite characters of all time. While I do not like Leandros.... Its good to know that it would be unlikely for him to fall.

Titus would be expelled from the ultramarines, at the very least, for heresy.

At multiple points, he contradicts the codex, and even asks "why do you interpret it so rigidly?"

4th company captain Uriel Ventris was banished and sent on a suicide mission for this same reason. I can't see Titus' fate playing out any better, especially because he was actually speaking out against the codex, in addition to disregarding it in his battle plans.

Leandros is too by the book to be a Chaos Marine. He's enforcing codex law as rigidly as any Marine could, which isn't heretical or anything by any stretch.

Titus would probably go under investigation for some time, and likely be weaponized by the Inquisition. A warp-proof killing machine is a pretty handy thing to have around. Hopefully we'll find out if there's ever a sequel.

I doubt they'd kill him; I think the Inquisition would be quite interested in recruiting a Space Marine Captain who also happens to be resistant to the Warp (after a huge amount of screening, of course).

If comparing it to a Black Library example...the Tanith squad who went to Gereon (a planet controlled by Chaos forces) in Traitor General weren't immediately shot afterwards and were eventually allowed to resume their duties in the Guard, but they weren't allowed to just walk back in, either. They were treated with a lot of suspicion. I imagine Titus going through a similar routine.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

If not the Deathwatch then maybe the Inquisitor will recruit him for his retinue? To keep an eye on him and use his abilities for the sake of the IoM.
Either way I truly hope he survives to fight again for us.

Sorry to burst your bubble and all, but it looks like THQ is going under so don't expect a sequel anytime soon.

Rumors and a press statement are saying that THQ is buying bought out by another company which means that the 40k MMO is pretty much cancelled.

Well, as I understand it the current Space Marine Codex lists Cato Sicarius as the Captain of the Ultramarines Second Company, yes? I think that makes it pretty clear and distinct that Titus won't be returning to his post as Captain of the Ultramarines anytime soon... at least not during the 41st millenium...

@vendetta 476
According to this weeks episode of the MMO Report on G4-TV it was said that in regards to the 40k MMO that THQ, in light of the economic situation, was seeking a partner or more in making it happen.

All Grey Knights are Psykers. Further, they undergo a great deal of training that normal Astartes don't approach. Perhaps more importantly, he doesn't have the right gene-seed, and since the gene-seed of the Grey Knights is supposed to be special, he won't fit the criteria.

Ok...a bodyguard for a Ordo Malleus inquisitor then? In the Inquisitor roleplaying game, I remember there was an option to have a SM character as part of the inquisitor's retinue.

They never explicitly state whether he's 2nd company or not, even if his colors reflect that. Ultramarines in most games are just the default blue and gold, and I think that's all there is to it for the time being.

Why the hell would Templar shoot someone who is resistant to the warp? He's a perfect witch hunter by being unable to get his butt ripped off by a psyker on a whim.
