So, I'm trying to stop using my paints straight out of the GW bottle, but I don't know how to effectively get it onto the pallet without spilling more paint than I need. Any tips?

Well with the pots your choice is really use a brush to take out a bit then place it on the pallet. Don't pour some out. If they had dropper bottles it'd be much easier and result in less paint wasted.

Order empty dropper bottles and transfer your gw paints to them.

I have a little battery powered paint stirrer that I use to get my GW paints on my wet palette. Hobby Stores sell these plastic eyedroppers that I used before I got the paint stirrer and they work well as long as you rinse them out right after using them (the water you use to clean brushes works fine if it's not too dirty). The paint stirrer is worth it's weight in gold to me, I don't get a whole lot of time to paint (two small kids) and since I've started using the stirrer my colors are always consistent even if it's been months since I painted last. It also is good for remixing paint that has started to skin over in the pot. I picked the stirrer up from MicroMark about four years ago and have used it a lot and only had to change the battery once so far! They also sell the eyedroppers too I believe. They have a lot of good products and I've always been satisfied with my dealings with them. (I've bought a LOT of their products over the years!) I hope this helps.

Ok, not really the advice you need, but I use an old ice cube tray as a pallette. It keeps each mix seperate, and allows me to remember what colours I use.
Just my opinion.

You can also use small wooden dowel rods, toothpicks, appetizer sticks or cocktail stirers. You can get the dowel rods at any arts and craft stores, the rest at your local supermarket. I like the idea of the cocktail stirers as they have that little ball on the end. and how about those little appetizer spoons?

I use a broken brush to stir mine, and a paintbrush to transfer the paint onto my metal tin I mean pallet
It's takes a while, but this way I can record how much of each paint goes into a mix, really helps for later reference
