I purchased a chaos landraider with Forge World doors. Unfortunately, the front doors have been glued.

Has anyone found a good solution for this? Magnets?

Would it be best just to leave them glued and forget about it?

Thanks for any ideas.

Somewhere in south-central England.

It partly depends what it was "glued" with.

If cemented with cyano-acrylate, there is a good chance you could pop the seam by chilling the pieces and applying some careful pressure.

If cemented with GW's polystyrene cement, there is a good chance you could pop the seam by chilling the pieces and applying some careful pressure.

If cemented with proper polystyrene cement, you will have to very carefully saw the doors apart using a jeweller's saw.

If the doors get wrecked by removing them, it should be fairly easy to replace them with plasticard, They are a fairly simple shape.

Forge World resin doors? Most likely glued with superglue or epoxy resin.

Personally I wouldn't risk the possible damage - why not just leave them closed?

I've gott'n some glue jobs undone with an over the counter cleaner you can buy in most grocery stores here in America.

Simple Green. Takes paint and glue off... give it a soak.

They are probably glued shut for a reason. I have two Raiders with FW doors and the front door slots for the upper hinges did not line up. After cutting and gluing them in I realized that the glue had gotten into the geared workings that make both doors operate together. I then just glued the doors shut.

That's a good point, the closed door may be hiding a Modelling Malfunction...

the forgeworld doors are a poor fit anyway. I had to fill the gaps around mine with putty. If you pull them off you'll have work to do getting them right, so probably best to leave them on unless you want to detail your interior
