If you fail your test to nullify a psychic power with a Runic Weapon, can you still use a Wolftail Talisman to nullify the power?

I don't think so, for the same reason that you can't use multiple runic weapons to get multiple chances to negate the psychic power.

However, I can see the argument for getting a second chance at negating the power, since the wolf tail talisman is an entirely different piece of wargear.

You can't use multiple Runic Weapons because the Runic Weapon entry was amended so that the effect is a single action that happens if any number of Runic Weapons are in range, rather than being an intrinsic ability of each individual weapon as originally written.

That has no bearing on whether or not other things that also nullify the power would still apply. The Runic Weapon allows you to attempt to nullify the power when it is cast. The Talisman is a completely separate effect that allows you to attempt to nullify a power that targets the wearer. I see no reason that they wouldn't both apply.

Yes you can. The Rnic Weapon will negate the phychic test.If that fails then the Wolftail Talisman negates the phychic attack.

Yes, they can both apply - assuming you fulfil the requirements of the WTT, for example Hammerhand couldnt be stopped by WTT

Minor semantics... The runic weapons negates the power, not the test. But the end result is the same. They're two separate effects that each have a chance of negating the power.

A good point. I've got no logical counterpoint, so I'll concede to that.

Runic nullifies activation.

WTT nullifies the effects if the wearer or his squad are targeted.
