When determining what gets a cover save from blasts, do you check line of site from the gun or from the center of the blast template?

From the gun. unless it's barrage then from the center.

Course, if you're actually talking about a 'template', they ignore cover. So are you asking about the flamer template or the round balst markers?

Seeing as how he asked about blasts, I can only assume he is talking about blast markers.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

If firing indirectly(which only barage can do) it's from the centre of the blast template, if firing directly it's from the firer as any other weapon.

No. Templates ignore cover. Barrage weapons determine the target's cover from the center hole of the blast marker. They always do this, not just when firing indirectly, Joey.

Sure, but the subject of the thread is "Templates and cover" which also made me wonder.

Barrage weapons do this when firing as barrage, either direct or indirect.

If not firing as Barrage then they determine cover saves from the firer, as usual

Barrage does not inherently ignore cover
