Greetings Everyone!
I have a few questions that have been bothering me and was hoping to get some clarification:
1) If you have a squadron of units (say land speeders) that would be purchased as either a squadron or individually can the player 'choose' to put these in a squadron or not. My 'common sense' reaction is no because technically you are changing your list...but, trying to validate this as a RAW due to a friend who is using this to prevent KP's from being given up. For example, if we are playing a KP mission he will put all 3 Land Speeders in one Fast Attack and if we are playing an Objective game he will divide them up (all 3) into separate force organizations.
2) I've recently started a IG army and curious about something with the Psyker Battle Squad. I've been told that they can use their morale debuff power out of a Chimera, but it isn't a shooting attack and with the new BRB FAQ wouldn't this ban it? I was told by a senior IG player that this was allowed because 'it states that they can in the IG FAQ / Codex' but I can't seem to find it.
3) When buying Heavy Weapon Squads for Vets/Infantry Squads etc... it states "Replace two...with a Heavy Weapons Team armed with the following:" I'm curious can you repeat this? Like can I replace 4 Vets/Guardsman to get 2 HW teams in the unit?

Generally not. Units are deployed as they are purchased on your army list. No option is given in the rules to change your army list once the game gas started.
So if you take 3 Landspeeders as a squadron (and thus a single FA slot), they would deploy as a single squadron. If you take 3 landspeeders as 3 seperate units (thus using 3 FA slots) then they would operate completely independantly.
You can only break units up when the rules specifically say you can, as with Marine Combat Squads or Ravenwing squadrons.
2) I've recently started a IG army and curious about something with the Psyker Battle Squad. You might have misread the FAQ, since it specifically allows it.
Rulebook FAQ wrote:Q: Can a model use a psychic power that is not a

vehicle? (p50)
A: Yes. If the power requires line of sight, this is still
worked out from the vehicle’s fire points (this will
count as one model shooting through that fire point if
the power is used in the Shooting phase).
If the psychic power does not require line of sight and
has a range or an area of effect that is normally
measured from the model using it, these are measured
from the vehicle’s hull, as explained in the Embarking
section on page 66.

No. You're only given the option to replace 2 Guardsmen.

For the heavy weapons team, a single team is basically two Guradsman, or Vets, on a single base. So, you are removing two individual guardsman models to replace them with a single HWT model, that is two guardsman. I hope that helps clear it up.

But the Psyker Battle Squad's Weaken Resolve isn't a shooting attack it states:
"This power is used during the Psyker Battle Squad's shooting phase. Choose one enemy unit within 36' and line of sight..." It states it is used during the shooting phase but doesn't state it is a shooting attack? Myabe I'm misreading this...it also says it requires LOS and since it is not a shooting attack wouldn't the new FAQ prevent this?

Did you read the FAQ entry you just quoted? It states the you cast PSYCHIC powers while embarked, and IF they need LOs you can use Firepoints.

It's a psychic power that isn't a shooting attack. The FAQ entry that I posted specifically allows you to use psychic powers that aren't shooting attacks from transports, so long as the vehicle has an available fire point or the power doesn't need LOS.

No, I think he's just misreading the FAQ Insaniak quoted, which specifically allows using psychic powers which are NOT shooting attacks.
