I've tried Citadel Plastic glue, Super Glue and Wellbond all purpose glue....

NONE of them seem to stick the resin that failcast is made of together very well.....

it seems to take ages for any of them to "set"

Anyone got a glue that works well ? All my glues do work like I said they just seem to take 10x longer to adhere...

Wash the models first, then use what you would for metal models.

Please can we stop with the failcast joke...it's like flogging a long dead, necrotic corpse of a horse...

But I agree with not, wash them first, no only does it help them stick together, but also lets you paint without the paint running.

glad someone else feels the same. Its like micro$oft and crapple on tech forums, drives me nuts!

But i agree with the wash and super glue sentiments

As with most non-plastic (especially resin) models, some mold release agent may be present. A quick wash with a little warm soapy water will take care of it easily. Regular superglue will work fine after that.

I've never had a problem with form release on finecast but if it's anything like the FW counterparts warm soapy water and a brush will fix all.

Superglue is def the answer here. Some superglue's will be better than others as all are not created equal Outside of buying superexpensive locktite industrial superglue experimentation is key to finding somehting that works well.

Like others have said.

Wash it gently in warm (not hot) soapy water, then make sure to rinse it completely and let it dry before trying superglue.
