Feel free to post your own question. The one I'm posting today is...
Like their paint jobs a lot more before they uploaded pics and used the zoom feature on them?
I had no intention of putting anymore work into my warbikers, and then bam  , zoom on dakka and I realized there was so much work I need to do to make them look even a little bit like the hordes of better paintjobs amongst people who post  . Man 
Was that just me?

“I may ‘ne be a good shot Timer, but I don’t miss much from this close up with my hammer,” Forling continues to fire.
“All the enemies are good and far away so what the hell does that…” Timer looks up to see Forling giving him an angry stare. “Oh, yea, ok, um, good shooting.”

I know what you mean. Part of having a good picture for a mini though is the lightning. A lot of the time lighting is what kills a really nice paintjob. I dislike taking pictures of my stuff for that very reason since I don't understand how I should go about taking the pictures.

It's good to know I'm not the only one. I really couldn't believe how many spots I had missed or how much paint got over some other paint or where I failed to shave off the mold lines.
I was just like...damn...glad my eyes don't zoom in when I field them all happily because their paintjobs mesh.

A lot of us feel that way. It's very rare that a closeup photo will bring out the flattering details of your paintjob. I've got figures that look great at 3 feet away, even better at 1 foot away, but when you get really zoomed up you see all the uneven lines, missed highlights, spillover, and other inevitable tiny mistakes.
