Hey guys, I just picked up the hobby with a couple of friends and we all got several questions! I hope I posted this in the right section

If I buy my Chaos Lord Wizarding Hat and give him, let's say, Mark of Nurgle, will he still use Nurgle spells or will he use random spells? Because it says that each mark gives the specific lore, but the Wizarding Hat also says that you get a random lore, sooo yeah...

Each first round of combat. So potentially 12 times a game, if you get first turn charged, break them, charge again, etc.

No, you roll 2D6, and the highest of each of the 2D6 (D6, D6) is their dispel. So if you roll {6,1} you get 7 dice, they get 6

They can stomp, see WoC errata (see ALL errata if you havent yet - biiiiig 8th edition changes!)

Yes, any character and champion must issue a challenge if they can

So you get +1 Strength in the first round against a unit? So for example, if Orcs are stuck in combat for 3 rounds they will only get +1 Strength the first turn and then their normal strength the other 2 fights, and if they win and charge a new enemy they will have the bonus strength for one round?

Thanks for the other 3 answers. I gonna buy a couple of Ironguts then and use them for my Chaos Ogres!

1. I believe choppas apply in the first round of each combat, so yes it can apply multiple times if a unit is involved in multiple different CCs.

2. The player whose turn it is rolls the 2d6. He gets that many power dice. Of the two dice he just rolled, the dispelling player gets dice equal to the highest of the two dice. So if the player throws a 6 and a 1, the casting player gets 7 dice (before channeling) and the dispelling player gets 6 dice (again, before channeling).

3. Check the MRB, it should be in the appendix in the back. I believe they are MI, which would mean that they do get stomp. Not 100% sure on that as I don't have my book in front of me.

4. Only those models or units with the "Eye of the Gods" special rule, which I don't think Chaos Sorcerers have. (Edit: Turns out they do, so yes, they have to challenge as well!)

yup, no Mark.

Although if they ever FAQ it they would probably specify that he has whatever mark he had as an RnF guy.

not really, just been asked before

I would suggest using google to search the forums, using "site:dakkadakka.com" in your search term (to only search dakka) - you get something like this

http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=wizarding+hat+mark+site:dakkadakka.com&pbx=1&oq=wizarding+hat+mark+site:dakkadakka.com&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=3&gs_upl=226l13910l0l15054l46l37l4l4l4l0l201l2876l30.6.1l45l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=3058bf272ae741f6&biw=1280&bih=643
