My fluff for my German Army ww2 inspired Imperial guard army
the Panzers are a mech army with lots of chimeras and leman russes. they charge the enemy with brute force of the chimeras and leman russes. everyone is mounted in a chimera.
the commander's name is herr colonel lichinistein and he has his own chimera.
the appearance of the soldiers look like the ones from starship troopers, but with the german steel helmet and gasmask. the panzer pattern leman russes look like german panzer tanks.

Okay...
What else?
Planet background?
Regiment history?
Things like that...
Also: Doesn't Herr Colonel mean Mr Colonel?
Not too shiny on my German...
Colonels will naturally rate a private chimera.

It seems a bit haphazardly gathered, I would suggest you to go and do a better try as this really isn't much to go on. Sorry I don't mean to come off a harsh, but this wasn't much to go on.
Basically I would repeat the comments from purplefood. Except that no-one uses Herr colonel. That's too Allo Allo.

Based on my own personal experience, German words don't generally go well in 40k. There's a few that sound cool in 40k, but I wouldn't recommend literal translations. It's also good to combine the words with words of other language origins.
My advice on doing an openly Nazi based army: I think you should only have it be Wehrmacht based in terms of tactics, rather than theme. By all means, you can use the same sort of fighting styles, but you should do a different theme. If you want to do a German army, I would recommend WWI, or at least not WWII. I wouldn't recommend a Bundeswehr them because post WWII themed armies don't work well in the retro futuristic setting.
@ Purplefood:
I believe that German titles use all titles, which would be Herr Colonel, plus any other titles held by the commander.

I just gave him my advice. Please don't derail with comments about my army and comments.

That doesn't look like advice as much as it looks like you shilling your wiki.
On Topic: So it's basically an armored company with german aesthetics? Grey armor grey armor. And the infantry from Starship Troopers? Paint 'em grey and then green stuff the helmets.

And the infantry from Starship Troopers? Paint 'em grey and then green stuff the helmets. It is a good point, but only because it's a long list of links. I could have left out the links, and just used names, but then no one unfamilier with the topic would have been able to figure out what they were about. I'm not arguing, just mentioning. ON TOPIC I've never really thought Starship Troopers looked Nazi. I found that the most Nazi like uniforms just looked like fancy waiter uniforms. If you really want to go for a Nazi look, you could try the Armageddon Pattern Basilisk. If you don't play in a GW, you can try looking for 1:35 scale WWII tanks. A word of warning though if you do use WWII tanks in a GW though; there is no "50%" for use in GW hobby stores. It's up to the manager what you can use, and while some of them are very open if you make some sort of modification and it's done for a theme army, there are others who will be feth heads about it. This goes for anywhere, but probably more for a GW where people don't play historical games. You're likely to run into people who have serious moral objections to creating Nazi armies. I do, but I'm not going to get into that now. I just think it's fair to warn you that it's going to happen. People might talk about it, which you wouldn't have any control over. If you really want to do it, you can. If you're going for tactics, a WWI army is going to be a substitute. It's possible Tau might work since they're fast and have big guns. I'm working on a WWII campaign involving them.

I was looking for another discussion when I came across this.
I'm doing a campaign with battles that are intended to be WWII battles in the table top. We can incorporate your army into it if you want; you'd have to be willing to fight along side the Tau though.
For WWII models, 1:48 is good for aircraft and 1:35 is very important for tanks.
