Been just wondering about a few things when it comes to shooting and cover saves

If a squad is standing in front of the squad and the enemy shoot at the squad behind, will that squad get a cover save because of the friendly units in the way? I know that enemy units ignore their own units.

Or is this rule all dependant on the LOS rule, if the squad in front cover more than 50% of the models in the squad behind will they then give a cover save?

This rule have just confused me a bit as i am more of a fantasy player than a 40k player.

If the targeted unit is behind another unit it does get a cover save, it's on of the situations covered in the book specificly.

In the game I played 2 weekends ago, they played that even Your own friendly units can provide cover to the enemy

Enemy units do not ignore their own units; A unit ignores the members of ITS OWN unit when determining if you are in or out of cover

Is the enemy unit 50% obscured? (as in, 50% of the models are even the slightest bit obscured) Then you give a covrer save.
