I dry-fitted this in store today with the shops 'Rakky and an LOTR Mumak. The idea is to top the top two tiers of the wedding cake howdah and add it to the spider, it will hold four orcs, mainly converted chariot crew and arrer boyz. I see no reason not to take it to tourney this year.


So an Arachnarok with four orcs and no goblins that should have eight goblins and no orcs, is this a:

1. A thematic conversion that noone should have problems with
or
2. A WYSIWYG nightmare for gamers unrepresentative of the number and quality of attacks it ought to have.

You tell me.

Well every tournament I have ever went to and seen the spider it had no goblins on it at all. I know mine didnt and the other 4 OnG players around here do not have any goblins on theres soo I would say it is fine

go for it as long as its still on a big base and spider can't see any problem. expensive conversion though or have you friends at a gw store

I will admit I am finding getting the howdah to be more difficult than expected. Noone sells LOTR bits except by opportunity.

Why is that. You dont like the halo of goblins either?

You shouldn't have any problems with it. Just be clear and say "I don't like goblins so I replaced them with orcs"

I just thought the howdah made a epic model look kind of cartooney

I agree, I had thought about replacing the howdah with some savage orcs, but I think finally, i'll probably just have some forest goblins running along the ground trying not to get stepped on.
