Ok so I got the materials needed to make the titan.
I am using three 12" x9" x1" balsa foam hard density blocks.
I drew a diagram with the measurements I will need to carve the base pieces for the Phantom
once I get these cut out, I will then begin the shaping process after I get the pieces assembled using clipped and bent pieces of metal hanger for structure
I will post pictures of the mannequin when I get it the pieces cut and then assembled
Stay posted if you care Automatically Appended Next Post: OH and this model should be quite pose-able when complete

Ok ladies and gents, I have gotten nearly everything cut out into its basic form. Both the upper and lower arm pieces have been cut out,
The Legs have been cut out, with a much larger lower half to allow for the large sweeping "bell bottom" shape.
The chest is also cut out, being made up of a 3"x3"x3" block of foam and the midriff section has yet to be cut out (it will be a 2"x2"x3" pill shaped piece)
I actually have the head shaped already, just awaiting detail carving and a bit of cleanup
Hes BIG
23 inches tall without a midriff or feet which will add around another 5 inches in hight
LOTS of carving

EVEN MOAR CARVING!!!
You guessed it... MOAR carving...
Okay so I have the mid section, neck and waist carved out of the foam
And after lots of carving, filing smoothing etc... hes almost done!
I still have to put his arms on, shape his hands, weapons, and add details/ paint.

Not bad so far, how far into detail do you want to go with it?

Well I am going to carve the detail into the face and weapons. But my plan for the gems that typically adorn eldar units I am going to a local beading store to pic up, red and blue tear drop plastiglass beads, and then after the base coats of paint and sealant are laid down, I am going to glue the beads down
Automatically Appended Next Post: then after the paint and sealant, I will paint him up proper
