Do the shots from on my target and bring it down replace normal shooting or is it in addition to normal shooting?

It's in addition to normal shooting, so if you use Bring It Down!, you shoot normally, but all the weapons count as TL.

Almost correct.

It is not in addition to normal shooting; it replaces normal shooting for the ordered unit (not the ordering unit).

If a unit has Bring it Down! used on it, it fires as part of the order and cannot fire again during that player turn.

..which is specifically stated in the rules for the Orders. It's only the shooting phase as well, so if you fired just assault weapons you could in theory still assault
