Hey hey! just finished up some Scouts for my space marines to get them out of way! , I dunno why but i really struggle with painting faces so that's something I am not happy with!

I did a Tallen Flesh base-coat then a wash of ogryn flesh , went over with VGC dwarf flesh and Elf Flesh (which for some reason went all blotchy, even though i thinned and used matte medium ) so I ended up washing with Devlin mud ... rather than making more of a mess!

Does any one have better way that i could do it ? or least salvage what I've done?

Other than that mini's are pretty much finished (for viewing from 2ft away game purposes)

Thanks for looking!

I like the colors, but it seems like the red is competing with the turquoise. Maybe a more muted red?

At any rate I think they look really great and I like the writing on the chainsword.

"struggle with painting faces" my left nut...

These are fine. Better than fine. You don't need to "salvage" them. You've done an excellent job. I particularly like the blue, and while I can see Cave Dweller's point, I think thta the red makes an interesting point contrast with the main color. It draws the eye first to the weapons, which makes them seem a little more aggressive than the average scout.

Faces good. No worry. They work from way closer than 2 feet!
