Hi all This is my little thread, hopefully it won't get abandoned like my previous threads .

FLUFF:

The Tau arrived on the barren waste land world of ven’dola late in the third sphere expansion. What they found was an ice world almost devoid of all life, the Ethereals deemed the world un-colonisable. But what they found was a valuable mining world, the planet was rich in Iridium. The Tau were quick to start to mine the planet, however the planet’s temperatures stayed at an average of -50 degrees all year round.

It was 10 years later that a massive imperial fleet assaulted the planet wiping the small Tau mining facilities off the maps. The Tau were quick to react sending their own fleet to reclaim the planet. The fleet was quickly destroyed, many Tau ships managed to escape to the planet’s surface. However this was not ideal and the warriors of the San’oral sept were forced to flee to the planets northern pole. The temperature there was a full 13 degrees below the planets average.

The Tau wage their small war from this northern pole, they are out maned and out gunned. The imperium continues to mine the planet for its valuable resources whilst fighting a war with the small Tau army. The low temperatures make it almost impossible for infantry to function normally. The Tau commander has been heavily employing stealth suit teams to act as roaming hunter killer teams. The Kroot have also played a massive part in the war [being the only infantry units capable of acting normally in the extreme weather].

Hello all
So this is the small beginnings of hopefully an army that is heavily fluff driven. Right now the fluff isn’t all that crash hot, but I hope to improve on the fluff as the army progresses. I would really love for some input into the fluff from you guys [as I am a fairly dull person]. But one thing is for certain I am a lazy little Sh!t so feel free to give me a kick up the back side if I am lagging behind on updates.

So with that done CnC welcome!

Great weathering! I'd say work on the white a bit more, it looks a little flat

Reading the fluff makes it seem that the Kroot will feature heavily.

I like that.

Good job on the commander as well. I agree with another highlight.

Sowrdwind- Thanks for the comments, Yes the camera certainly shows me that I need more highlights. It looks pretty dull, but I don't want to go to over board as it will mess with the fluff. And the kroot will certainly play a massive part in this army, I am going to likely try and do some simple conversions on each one.

So after a little short Hiatus from the Hobby I am back with fully charged Hobby batteries. With the arrival of 6th edition I am excited to get the army done and add in a sprinkle of allies. I haven't got my rule book yet as I am waiting for the starter set, But I hope to get in a few games before then. Stay tuned as well as there will be a number of tutorials regarding the Tau.
So first up is some fire warriors ready for some paint.

Second is an Iron Hand marine I briefly worked on about a month ago.
