What if you came up against terminator unit or mega nobz

I recommend a fire prism for putting pie plates on your enemies infantry and yet with it's foccused shot it can take down a land raider

take a nice elite choice or fast attack like swooping hawks or banshees to either provide support or to rip through marine units

To achieve this points space take guardians with bright lance platform

This is an idea don't no If it's over or under

Jetbike seer council with your upgrades

A banshee unit 10x man with exarch

Guardians bright lance

Guardians bright lance

5x swooping hawks with exarch I recommend intercept

Fire prism

A close combat army - like DoA would really hurt you. I think you need to have at least one vehicle equiped to take out deepstriking infantry like terminators or assault marines.

I think the list looks solid. I would probably give the farseer runes of warding though.

Giving a Falcon to fire dragons is not the best idéa, you have just basicly made your long range fire support
a suicide carrier. I would suggest giving the fire dragons one of the serpents from your DA (would chooce
the scatter laser one but YMMV) and put that DA squad in the falcon for a scoring falcon.

For higher point levels I would recommend either getting fire prisms/nightspinners or more DAVU Falcons.
Again this is only what i would do, you might have some other things in mind and I won't try and tell you
what to do just give some advice on things to concider.

Glad to be to help (if any xD)

Thanks for the response guys

In consideration to what you said about terminators etc should I get rid of the falcon and fire dragons and replace with a fire prism and add striking scorpions/howling banshees? Because the seer council can destroy land raiders because they're essentially str 9 but they'll struggle against terminators and hordes etc

Is this a good idea or should I just stick with my original list?

Thanks

Personally, I don't think a Jetlock approach is feasible at these low point levels. It's a very expensive unit and not really playable under 2000 points, IMO.

Fire Dragons also NEED a WS, not a Falcon. A Falcon sits in back and provides fire support while staying out of melta range. Fire Dragons charge at the enemy and get into melta range as fast as possible. So, switch a WS to the Dragons and have one of the DA squads ride in the Falcon.

Thanks, if I do take the fire dragons I'll be sure to put them in a WS but I was just wondering if I really need to take fire dragons because the seer council can take out the land raiders/ high toughness units and they're also more survivable and I'm defiantly taking them so do I need to take fire dragons in this list?

Fire Dragons are nice because they are relatively cheap, so you don't have to be too concerned about them surviving. They're basically just a unit that can suicide and take a giant threat down with them.

But, you do have a Falcon and EML on one of the WSs, so that may be enough to effectively handle any vehicle threats (which should be limited at only 1000 points). So, leaving the FD off the list may be feasible. It would give you an opportunity to spend more points on getting a higher volume of shots to handle horde armies.

Considering what you guys have said I've made a new list. This totals 995 points

HQ

Farseer - jetbike, singing spear, spirit stones, doom and fortune

4 Warlocks - jetbikes, 2x destructors, embolden and enhance

Farseer - guide, runes of witnessing

Troops

10 Dire Avengers - exarch w/ dual catapults and bladestorm
-Wave Serpent w/ eml and spirit stones

10 Guardians - scatter laser

Heavy Support

Fire Prism - holofields

The guide-seer will be with the DA guiding them, the guardians will a capture backfield objective, the fire prism provides cover fire shooting terminators etc, while the seer council fly towards the enemy killing things.

The DA, prism and guardians can take hoards, the seer council can take high toughness and vehicles, while the prism can also take vehicles and TEQ. I think I've covered everything.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

I have to disagree here to an extent. I've had a very successful career with my JetSeer Council at 1500pts and 1750pts.

However, I do think that you're being quite risky Porcupine by having them at 1000pts.

I'd maybe try this:

1. Farseer - 175pts.
w/ Runes of Warding, Spirit Stones, Eldar Jetbike, Doom, Fortune.

2. Warlock Squad - 275pts.
w/ 5 members, Jetbikes, 3x Destructor, Embolden, Enhance.

3. Dire Avengers - 60pts.
w/ 5 members

-Wave Serpent - 130pts.
w/ TL- Eldar Missile Launchers, Spirit Stones

4. Dire Avengers - 60pts.
w/ 5 members

-Wave Serpent - 130pts.
w/ TL- Eldar Missile Launchers, Spirit Stones

5. Nightspinner - 160pts.
w/ Holo-fields, Spirit Stones

Total = 990pts.

I don't think that you'd need the Fire Dragons, like you say, the Witchblades are S9 and you have the EML serpents. Plus, you probably won't see a massive amount of AV13+ at this level.

In case you do come up against Terminators then you can use the Nightspinner to make sure they won't be moving very far so you can dictate when you fight them, not the other way around. This army is also fast enough to avoid deepstrikers if you can keep rear armour hidden. The Nightspinner will also help your horde control immensely.

Before I get mauled for everything having Spirit Stones, I feel that with only 2 Scoring units, it's important that they are always moving and collecting a cover save. Being able to move 12" and still fire the missile launcher will help thin the enemy and if an objective game comes up, he can go for last-minute control/contests.

Iranna.
