Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

I ordered on Monday of last week some chaos from dice bucket. I ordered 1 new box of chaos marines(the full box not the attack squad), I also ordered 1 set of berzerkers sprue only , one set of possessed sprue only.

They arrived three days later, really happy with that. So i opened them up and looked at what I purchased when i noticed that I was short the chaos icons/special weapons/champion sprue, and only came with 11 out of 12 backpacks for the KB's, also it was missing a set of transfers as well. So I went back to the site and looked at how to contact them and found the only way i can see to do this. I sent them an email on what was missing along with my invoice number and all relative data.

I still have not heard from them at all, so last night I sent another email asking for some sort of explanation about what was going on, I.E. was it out of stock or was it short shipped....nothing, no reply. I was not rude at all or demanding, just asking for some feedback.

The only other time I had used dice bucket was about four months ago, my friend and I went in on a order to save on shipping. It arrived quick but agian I was missing something. I bought scout, dev, command squads. The part was missing was the emperors champion head. At the time it wasn't a big deal to me so i just let it go, but I'd say that out of two times I have ordered from them they have failed twice.

I know many people that have ordered from them without problem, so I guess my question is what should I do now?

Interesting...how are they getting away with the online shopping cart setup with GW products?

Edit: To the OP, were the items you ordered still shrink-wrapped when you got them? If so, you can simply call GW customer service to get the replacement pieces.

I'm echoing Lormax's question, how the heck did these guys get around the online shopping cart restriction?

This is the first site I've seen with an online cart since GW made that rule.

Isn't it because they sell the sprues sans boxes? If I remember correctly, this means they're selling 'used' product, and can then ignore GW's policies.

I believe the way they get around the cart issue is to unbox everything. So to your question no, nothing they sell comes in shrinkwrap. All the sprues together were in a bag and in an bubble envelope.

On another note Im not an impatient person, I just would like to know whats going on.

You might say well its only been a week dude calm down, but look at it from my point of view. If they can take my order, process it, and ship it in three/four days. they can reply to an email in the same amount of time.

Yeah, IIRC, because they take the sprues out of the box, they're considered second hand. GW's policy doesn't cover that.

Just keep emailing them. You'll get through.

Hmmm, very interesting. I'm assuming they don't use GW as their distributor then

That is an interesting business model. I guess the OP's problem is one unfortunate side effect of that business practice.

Sorry I don't have much to offer help wise OP.

In the dark recesses of your mind...

I would avoid Dice Bucket in the future. In the US, the best discount retailer to go through is Miniature Market. Everything is NIB, they ship fast, keep a lot of stock on hand, and offer free shipping for all orders over $99.

Well I will say that if they hadn't treated him right, there's no way I would ever consider purchasing from them in the future. I was actually looking it over and thinking about placing a $100 order from them soon because my FLGS's prices are higher even than GW's.

This is good news.

I'm actually thinking of dropping $100au on them for a pair of Trygons, so it's good to hear about them. Getting information from people that have used them used them is like pulling teeth.

Glad they worked it out for you.

Another great store is Thebitzbarn.com

I live outside US/europe, so my orders are always overseas, for me, out of the box products are great, because the lower shipping price due to reduced size of the package.

I never used Dice Bucket due to their policies (no international shipping), but their prices seens incredible.

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...

They introduced international shipping about 6 months ago. It's a flat rate based on how much you order. $25us for the first $100us spent, then it goes up $10us per $100us. So you pay $45us shipping on between $200us and $300us worth of stuff, for example. Some odd brackets go up $15us though.

I used DiceBucket for the first time last month, and I had great success. One of their guys is on here, name of "blood angel." Shoot him a PM, he's a great guy to work with. I plan on using DB for all of my future online purchases. At 30% off, I can't find a better deal. I hope your order gets sorted out and you get the missing pieces. Good luck, I'm sure they'll do right by you.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Lolreally? I just ordered 5 complete Space Wolf Wolf Pack sprues, 4 Drop Pods, a vindicator, 2 land speeders, a few grey knights parts (to give my rune priest some Librarian credibility) and a pack of chessex dice, and bitzbarn told me that it would weigh 17.5 kilograms, and hence would charge me 40 dollars for shipping. Didn't stop me from ordering for a second because it's still a ridiculous saving (think 600 dollars) on Australian GW prices, but 40 dollars for shipping when my KR Multicase shipped for free is... a lot.
Better than the war store, though which has slugged me 30 dollars for two war machine books.

I received my missing sprue and backpack today in the mail.

This went from a warning to a endorsement.

I will be using Dicebucket again in the future.

So because KR does free international shipping, everyone else has to?

That's pretty normal what you got charged. Hell, I got charges $60us shipping on 4 battlefoam trays. Foam. The box weighed more than the foam. Actually, when I got the package, it said $37au postage, but battlefoam still charged me $60us.

Here it is 30a days later and ive asked for a refund credit another item any thing and no response. Bank here i come to dispute my charges. Do not use them.

Entirely different service. While you have a bit more freedom with bitzbarn with selecting individual parts, Dicebucket is just about selling entire kits. While I'd like to, I don't have the energy to do the maths on a comprehensive range from bitzbarn.
