I am happy to announce that I have just finalized details that will allow us to run Ironman XVIII on March 24th only 1 week later than planned. We will be running the event at the Little Shop pf Magic in Las Vegas Nevada. Due to not providing lunch and the lower levels of prize support from GW we will be charging $15 or $10 if pre paid and registered (army list submitted) by March 10th.

If he is going with the one I think he is, we were looking at that venue, as well. I think they can accomadate 30-40 tables, with preperation, if I recall from my conversations.

Yeah, I'm considering the idea of skipping the hotel, and just driving out between midnight and 2 AM the day of, playing the tourney, and heading back the same night. Caffeine is a hell of a drug.

The store can easily fit between 30-40 players more could be squeezed in. They regularly have 60-70 people play in friday night magic.

Will the corsairs army from IA11 be allowed? I see some other IA armies on the list, but not that one.

Yes the Corsairs army will be allowed. It is not on the list yet because I have not bought the book but I have skimmed the rules. Remember that if using IA items you must bring the original book and any models must be the Forgeworld ones or a very good scratch build /conversion (if not actual models I suggest sending me pictures first so they can get approved)

Who won? Bummed I could not come out for it, hope ya'll had a good time.

Sorry I had not seen this and responded been to busy packing up for the move up north.

Justin Tickhill took first place overall followed by a tie for second with Johnathan Grasser and Cory Oakes. It was awarded to Johnathan using Battle Points as the Tie Breaker. Christopher Franklin and Cory Oakes were tied for best sportsman but as Cory Oakes won best painted the sportsmanship award was given to Chris Franklin.

Overall I think the event was fun. I was a bit sad that the locals did not show up for the day (over half of the players were from out of town) but due to the short notice I understand people could not make it happen. And yes there was a Daemon player so he won best of faction for daemons
