I'm not terribly in depth with the 3rd edition but I just want to know if this Turning Tide list could be improved (and I bet it can, not too good with FoW). Is American Armed Rifles any good anyways? Really like that each combat platoon has a little bit of everything, or is that also its weakness? Jack of all trades and master of none?
45-Company HQ: Bazooka Team
295-Armored Rifle Platoon: 2 Rifle Squads
295-Armored Rifle Platoon: 2 Rifle Squads
295-Armored Rifle Platoon: 2 Rifle Squads
135-Armored Anti Tank Platoon: 3 Gun Sections: Bazooka Team
110-Armored Mortar Platoon: 3 Sections
235-Armored Engineer Platoon: 2 Operating Squads, Bazooka Team
320-Tank Destroyer Platoon: 2 M18 Hellcat Sections

I like it, the best advice is build it and fight with it. If you forensically take apart the battle afterwards with your opponent (over a cup of tea/beer /cigarette whatever) and you are pretty candid, it's amazing what you learn. Especially if you discuss both your failures and successes. I find this is a good way to develop and invariably means you become firm friends as there is an element of mutual respect. I played a British Guards Armoured force last year and learned that not all British Tanks get HE... I poured over the books and worked out which ones. Then in future against those types used my Lehr Troops (with their large numbers of AT weapons) in much more aggressive manner against British Tanks.
Your List is a very good foundation you cannot wrong. Then over the next few years you can add platoons to it and cherry pick specific lists and eventually end up with a large (3000point force) which you can make lots of different list combo's.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest! |

I don't know if it matters to you or not, but the tank destroyer battalion attached to the 2nd Armored Division at Normandy was equipped with M-10s. If historicity is important to you (and it is to some players - I've no idea whether you're one of them), then you should swap the Hellcats out for M-10s instead.
If you don't care, then no worries.

About the only thing I can see and think of off the top of my head with v3 is aircraft will play a larger roll due to the new rules with auto ranging in on targets in the open.
That said, I think you have pleanty of anti-tank options with all the zooks and TDs, you might want to drop the armored anti tank and pick up some limited aircraft.
