Hi all, Now, when reading my marine codex, I found that terminators can always deepstrike. My question is this: have chaos termies been feq'ed/erratad so that they also always deepstrike, or are they walking in alpha missions? cheers

They walk in Alpha

They walk in Alpha.

But if you want to have some fun with someone trying to use the new assault cannon rules with their GK assault cannons, insist that you get to deepstrike. It should be fun.

As always, the sarcasm/toughguyness/ironic wit is enjoyed mauleed. However there is a caveat to this debacle: terminator armor in the loyalist marine wargear states "...character...may deepstrike if the mission permits" but the command termie squad says "may deepstrike even if the mission special rules do not permit it". Does that mean termie HQs walk in alpha if they have no pod? cheers

Of course not. He's a member of the command squad. The command squad deep strikes. But that's a different question and should be a different thread.

Errr no, just because almost everyone can deepstrike in alpha except one member doesnt mean they can all deepstrike.

That would mean a Daemonic Statured Lord with a retinue of Chaos Chosen Terminators would be able to deepstrike in gamma and Omega.

*however* both the Black Templars and Codex: Wargear has clarified that SM Terminator Armour can always deepstrike regardless of the mission.

False analogy. Though like you, I've still been a little wary of the termie HQ dropping with his cmd squad. But now that I think about it: the wording "even if the mission doesn't allow it" is 100% meaningless if the HQ can't drop too, because he has to be attatched.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

In Codex:Wargear the updated wording for Terminator Armour for Marines says that they can always deepstrike regardless of mission, unfortantly Chaos nor =I= have that wording :/

Its also worth noting that the wording in Codex Black Templars states that characters in Terminator Armor may always deepstrike.
