hi fellow dakkites, I recently brought the new dweller in the dark model for my moria army... aside from it being failcast its quite a nice mini.... whilst putting it together i had a thought... one word 'verminlord' It would be a simple conversion, I just needs two resources, a suitable rat like head to fit the model, and a glaive of some form, heres a picture:



basically my thought where to leave the wings off (and green stuff in the gaps) replace the head, and give it a glaive, not hard at all, have no idea where id get a suitable head from though, needs to be suitably rat like, worst comes to worst i could green stuff it, but my green stuff skills are.... lacking....

thank you for any answers, and has anyone had the same/similar idea?

Only problem is, you may have to get the entire model. You can probably pick one up on ebay for a reasonable price.

I have a few more problems with it also.
1. Rats do not have hooves last time I checked
2. Vermin Lords are fairly terrible
3. Finding a good to scale rat head

the official vermin lord model has hooves, granted its an old model. plus it adds something a bit more daemony to it =)

I've seen 2 or 3 threads to this effect on Skaven boards. It's probably going to be awesome when we see one.

That being said....

There's apparently some clause in the Licencing Agreement for LotR that leaves them with the same status for Sanctioned play as non-GW models. This means you won't be allowed at GTs, or to play with him at GW stores.

But if you're not playing in Sactioned games, Convert the bejebus out of that guy and post the pics!
