Subject: Bongfu's Workshop - Slaanesh Warband in Progress

I decided that I will just post in one blog from now on as my attention span with 40k is quite short.
So from this start I am going to post updates for my Imperial Fist, Space Wolves, IG, and Inquisition.
Here is my current progress on the Achilles. Note that I do have a Thunderfire cannon to stick on the front, but it is a rather piss poor conversion. So until I can find a proper Thunderfire or pieces to make my own (drinking straws are in my future me thinks) it will remain out of the photos so I do not embarrass myself. (Sorry for the dark photos, it was cloudy today and my desk was too much of a mess for me to be bothered to clear space)
Here is my Sternguard's Veteran Sergeant WIP
WIP Chaplain (using Ivanus Enkomi from IA10)
Well I am still waiting for Army Builder to get back to me about my yellow primer. So I decided to start working on my Guard.
What ensued yesterday was the largest decapitation spree since the French Revolution. Now that my guard are all beheaded, I can begin reissuing them new helmets!
Imperial Guardsman done. Time 10 minutes per guardsman. I think that is an acceptable time. If I batch paint them, I can probably get a squad done in about two hours. Which means I would have roughly 30 hours of painting time for the completion of my infantry, but it would probably be more if I add my HQs.

Rebased the guardsman.
Finished my Master of Ordnance with my crappy attempt at directional lighting (I am going to make it better when I pick up some lighter green)

Presenting the Banehammer Mors Regis aka "King of Death"
Painting it up for an upcoming apocalypse game against 10k of greenskins. Should put a hurt on some xeno-scum.
Some more attempts at OSL
The tank has been through some crazy weathering. Took me about two hours to achieve the desired effect.

Pretty cool start. OSL might need some tweaking but I'm no expert. Guardsmen look great, nothing like using Pig Iron

Finished my squad sergeant for count-as LotD. Basically the idea is that they are boarding veterans with access to teleport packs. (If Grey Knights can get them, the Sons of Dorn can too, we were here first!)

So I have always wanted to build an Imperial Airship, but I have never had the right pieces until now.
Here is a quick concept (forgive my paint skills).
The idea is that it will be an escort sized atmospheric gunboat... 40k scale.
I originally planned on making an airship "count-as" marauder. But I felt the marauder lacked that umpfh I felt I needed. Think of this thing as the Imperial answer to a AC-130, but with AA capabilities as well.

Found these in my parent's new TV box after helping them move the new furniture in their house.
Pretty awesome ideas flowing through my head, but what is the best way to paint straight styrofoam? Just buy some cheap acrylic or house paint? Would it be safe to spray paint after a coat or two?
For sense of scale, that is a full sized 4'x6' warhammer table they are leaned up against.

I always get excited by big bits of styrofoam, and nothing ever comes of it! You'd need to coat it first with a thinned layer of pva, then you can spray it without it melting from the propellant.

Nice! I used that mount for my las plas too, but never thought to go the whole hog and use the turret. Hmm. I have a magnetised predator somewhere that I never use...

So I have started a Slaanesh warband called the 'Desecrators'. I decided to go with a nonstandard theme with them. Tell me what you think.

Lovely colour scheme, although may run the risk of looking a bit Tzeentchy (hard to tell from pic).

I know, its a bit washed out. I am finally going to build a photobox this weekend so I can get the perfect light I need so my pictures come out better.
I thought about it, but I think thats just because the stereotype for Tzeentch has always been blues and warm tones. Slaanesh has always been bright colors, except for the Violators who are dark blue.
The great thing about Chaos though is that I can't be wrong. For all anyone knows, I am just secretly another Alpha Legion player

Ha! Love the Sound-blaster thingy. The fanged maw affair is fairly creepy but (in an entirely NSFW, slaaneshi way) may I suggest a single eye above it? Enough to be gross vaguely sexualised but in a non-specific way.
